What is a Client Drawer?

A Client Drawer is a one-of-a-kind product and is the best way to efficiently rack mount small form factor computers for centralized computing, headless computing (e.g., internet hosting), desktop-as-a-service (DaaS), or KVM extensions.  In only a 4U space, the Client Drawer chassis houses up to 10 NUCs, mini PCs, thin clients, or zero clients.    Featuring redundant power, internal cabling, and active cooling, the Client Drawer is an innovative solution that increases security, improves data center efficiency, makes IT administration easier.

How Does the Client Drawer Increase Security?

First, computers are secured in the data center, allowing IT to control the I/O ports and data connections.  Second, the Client Drawer can be equipped for fiber connections to the desktop, eliminating many security risks inherent to copper cabling.  The Client Drawer increases endpoint security by reducing the opportunity for theft, misuse, or hacking.

Used in a VDI Environment with KVM Extensions

Virtual machines (VMs) lack the physical I/O ports required by KVM extension systems, complicating and prohibiting the inclusion of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) in deployments using KVM extension.  The Client Drawer technology enables organizations with significant investments in KVM extension system to integrate any VDI platform into their deployments.  The USB ports on the front panel enable administrators to connect peripherals for diagnostics, maintenance, or mass storage devices for imaging.
