Designed to eliminate PCs from the work areas, a new centralized Blade PC design locates the PC elements including powerful Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) in the customer’s secure datacenter and delivers pixelated information over PCoIP protocol to zero client devices at the desktop.

Targeted at power users with robust graphics applications, ClearCube’s A6106H Blade PC utilizes the features of Intel® 4th Generation Core i7 and Core i5 processors, up to 32GB RAM, and NVIDIA’s latest Quadro K1200, K2200, and K4200 graphics adapters, all with 4GB DDR5 video memory. Ten A6106H Blade PCs mount in a chassis that takes up only 6 rack units of space.

A6106H Blade PCs are specially designed with embedded PCoIP™ adapters that host IP connections from remote desktop zero client end point devices. Those zero client end points support up to four displays, and have no memory, operating system or local storage. All processing takes place on the A6106H Blade PC and only pixel changes are transmitted to the zero client devices over encrypted protocol. Therefore, no data exists at the desktop location, which is a huge deterrent to security breaches and data theft. Zero clients are so secure they are used by financial trading floors, NSA and other intelligence agencies.

“Interest and adoption has been strong in simulation/training centers, and C4ISR command and control locations where 3D Google Earth satellite mapping, video surveillance or other graphically demanding programs are tied to tight desktop security mandates,” said Jim Zakzeski, VP, Sales and Marketing.

A6106H Blade PCs provide full desktop performance while increasing manageability of assets and data. ClearCube’s Sentral™ management software provides server-level availability (99.9% uptime) for end user computing using a blade pooling configuration that allows users to broker connections to spare blades in the event of primary blade failure. This capability results in a return-to-service in seconds. This proves especially useful in command and control, e911 emergency response, and computer aided dispatch scenarios where mission-critical response is demanded.
