ClearCube’s® new R3082D Blade PCs provide IT organizations with the ability to address the needs of VMware View power users in VDI environments by utilizing the robust features of 3rd generation Intel Core™ i7 and i5 series processors, Intel Q77 Express chipsets (Ivy Bridge), DDR3-1600 memory, PCI Express® graphics, and on-board dual Ethernet connections.
AUSTIN, TX – September 4, 2012 — ClearCube’s® new R3082D Blade PCs provide IT organizations with the ability to address the needs of VMware View power users in VDI environments by utilizing the robust features of 3rd generation Intel Core™ i7 and i5 series processors, Intel Q77 Express chipsets (Ivy Bridge), DDR3-1600 memory, PCI Express® graphics, and on-board dual Ethernet connections.
Blade PCs also provide 1:1 dedicated high performance for Centralized Desktop Infrastructure (CDI) users for fat client use cases (legacy apps, in-house-developed apps, mission-critical apps), not possible to satisfy with virtual desktops.
R3082D Blade PCs are specially designed with embedded PCoIP™ and GPU adapters that host IP connections from remote desktop zero client end point devices.
“The power efficiencies offered by 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors allow ClearCube Technology to achieve the industry’s highest rack density of 8 PC Blades in 3U of rack space while delivering outstanding CPU performance to VDI users over distance,” said Jim Zakzeski, VP, Business Development and Marketing, ClearCube Technology .
ClearCube architecture centralizes the processors so that blade-cooling fans and high-volume chassis fans provide ample cooling in the datacenter, while fan-less, low power, zero clients eliminate heat, power consumption, and fan noise near the users. By centralizing the power users’ workstations, IT organizations achieve VDI benefits with high availability, ease of management, and power efficiencies in a dense data center friendly solution.
“Support for three independent displays with improved transcoding capabilities in the 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processor family has enabled us to increase the monitor per 1U density by 50% in our R-series platform. Achieving higher density while lowering the overall power consumption further strengthens our value proposition of green computing,” said Raj Mellacheruvu, VP, Engineering, ClearCube Technology.
R3082D seamlessly integrates into VMware virtual desktop environments and the connection between the blades and zero clients are brokered by VMware View to deliver a high-end PC experience over an IP network. R3082 provides dual and triple monitor from the PC blade to the zero clients at the desktop with simultaneous full screen, full motion video at high resolutions.
For non-VDI implementations, ClearCube’s Sentral Management software gives IT administrators easy and total control of their entire deployment of centralized infrastructure – from PC blades to virtual desktops, locally or remotely, and provides server-level availability (99.9% uptime) for end user computing.
R3082D will be shipping Q4 2012.
