The R3092D Blade PC is engineered for every use case, with latest generation CPUs, 64 GB memory, AMT 11.0, and Thunderbolt support
AUSTIN, Texas, October 4, 2017 — All Media For Immediate Release
ClearCube® Technology, Inc. today announced the release of a new R-Series Blade PC engineered for power users in traditional computing environments, Horizon View® deployments, and other VDI environments. Featuring 7th Generation Intel® Xeon® E3-1200 family and Core™ i7 and i5 CPUs, the Intel® C236 chipset (Kaby Lake), and up to 64 GB of DDR4 2133 MHz memory, the R3092D Blade PC feature set addresses any use case with aplomb.
The R3092D Blade PC is ClearCube’s eighth generation of R-Series Blade PCs. The blade brings new features to the R-Series line, including Thunderbolt™ 3 support, front panel USB 3 ports, up to three displays, and three LAN ports on the rear of the chassis. Chassis network connections now include two Gigabit LAN ports for regular network traffic, and one Gigabit port dedicated to PCoIP traffic. “New R3092D features increase computational speed, increase network connectivity, and simplify deployments and maintenance,” said Crosby Marks, Manager of Solutions and Support at ClearCube. “Admins can connect a display to the Thunderbolt 3 port on the front of the R3092D for easy local management, or can connect peripherals and mass storage devices for faster imaging. The blade’s new functionality and flexibility serves a wider variety of customers and use cases,” said Marks.
R3092D Blade PCs support enterprise deployments with high-performance options. “Our customers needed a solution that could excel in VDI environments and in traditional one-to-one settings,” said Doug Layne, VP of Global Sales. “We know we’ve delivered that in a blade that offers Xeon processors, 64 GB of 2133 MHz RAM, and 2 TB of storage with RAID support.”
Security is a central component of ClearCube Blade PC offerings. ClearCube’s centralized computing architecture places all compute devices and data assets in secure datacenters. Like previous generations of R Series blades, the R3092D offers the industry’s highest rack density of eight Blade PCs in a secure, 3U rack space. The physical security of R3092D Blade PCs is enhanced by ClearCube’s hardware-based Mass Storage Lockout, TPM 2.0, and Intel AMT 11.0 support. Intel AMT can protect networked blades against threats, and enables administrators to remotely discover, manage, and repair R3092Ds.
