AUSTIN, Texas, January 11, 2018 — All Media For Immediate Release

ClearCube® Technology, Inc. today announced the release of a new R-Series Blade PC engineered for power users in traditional computing environments, Horizon View® deployments, and other VDI environments. The R3090D features 6th Generation Intel® Xeon® E3-1200 family and Core™ i7 and i5 CPUs, Intel® C236 chipset (Skylake), and up to 64 GB of DDR4 2133 MHz memory. The R3090D’s Skylake chipset supports Windows 10 and Windows 7—so government, industrial, and commercial organizations that have not migrated to Windows 10 can deploy R3090s knowing they can use the same hardware now, and in the future.

The R3090D Blade PC is ClearCube’s eighth generation of R-Series Blade PCs. The blade brings new features to the R-Series line, including front panel USB 3.0 and USB Type-C ports. The new USB Type-C port provides USB 3.1 Gen 2 data speeds and support for HDMI, DisplayPort, and DVI video connections. R3090D video support includes up to three displays, and network connectivity includes three LAN ports on the rear of the chassis. Chassis network connections now include two Gigabit LAN ports for regular network traffic, and one Gigabit port dedicated to PCoIP® traffic.

R3090D Blade PCs support a broad range of deployment types. “The R3090D is a feature-rich blade that gives customers high-end performance and flexibility,” said Doug Layne, VP of Global Sales. “With operating system support options, CTOs know that they can deploy R3090s today—and continue using them after OS migrations in the future. The addition of a USB Type-C connector gives users new front panel video options they’ve never had before with R-Series blades.”

Security is a central component of ClearCube Blade PC offerings. ClearCube’s centralized computing architecture places all compute devices and data assets in secure datacenters. Like previous generations of R Series blades, the R3090D offers the industry’s highest rack density of eight Blade PCs in a secure, 3U rack space. The physical security of R3090D Blade PCs is enhanced by ClearCube’s hardware-based Mass Storage Lockout, TPM 2.0, and Intel AMT 11.0 support.
